A Review 

My Review for the novel Thirteen Reasons Why is very positiv. 

The story is about a Girl who has 13 reasons to commited suicide. She records the reasons on cassetts and send them after her suicide to the persons who took part of it.

Although I do not read a lot I found the story exciting and as well as good to understand and easy to read.

The novel is written in the perspective of Clay so the reader can follows the story from one of the characters and staggered into his feelings and thoughts which makes the story also interesting and comprehensible. Since every chapter begins with a new story - or I shoud say reason - the novel never gets borring to read on.

I would recommend the book for teenager because I think that many problems like alcohol or rumors  are problems for teenagers in real life and that many of them can identify with Hannah.  

All in all it was a good variety for our english lessons so that I come to the conclusion that the story is  succesful and engrossing on a well written way by Jay Asher.

Cassette 5: SIDE A

Hey everyone! :D

The next chapter 5A is about Clay the person who hear to the cassettes in the novel straight.

Clay Jensen knew Hannah from school and from his job where they worked together.
One day they met at a Party. Clay was the only reason why Hannah came to it, because she heard only positive things about him and wanted to met him.
Both got into a conversation, talked about everything but not about Hannahs feelings and sat on a sofa where Justin and Jessica were too.
After a while they went together in a room and kissed but Hannah stopp it, because she thought about everything what happend before the Party. She wanted that Clay left the room.
Since that time Hannah did not talk to Clay anymore.

With this cassette Hannah want to say Clay that she is sorry about everything what she have done and that he is not a reason why she committed  suicide.

Hannahs feelings were disarranged at this time because she wanted to meet Clay but in her head were only bad thought about her past.
Clay did not know what he did wrong and why Hannah ignored him, so he was addled.

Letter to Zach

Hey everyone! :D

My next post is about the chapters 3B and 4A.
I will write a letter to Zach from Clays view and tell him what I think about his action that he steal the notes with the compliments from Hannah.

Hey Zach!

I heard that you are on the cassettes from Hannah, too.
I cannot believe what you have done to Hannah! She did not deserve something like that, because she was hurt at that time and you did not understand her feelings.
Hannah was a good girl and she needed the compliments very much. It is also very base that you read all the notes although they were not for you.
Some notes were from me (I think you know it, because you must saw them) and it makes me so angry that Hannah never catch sight of them.
How stupid must be a boy who hurt a girl on that daft manner? You had to react in a different way.
I hope you have some feelings of guilt because you have deserve it.

"THE FOURTH REASON"

Hey everyone! :D

My next post will be about the fourth reason of Hannah´s suicide.
In this chapter "Cassette 2: SIDE B", tells Hannah, that she was observed by Tylor Down and that he takes photos of her secretly.

I can understand Hannah´s reaction completely, because being observed by a classmate is a really bad feeling.
She also was alone at home and did not feel safe there any longer.
Her worry to call the police can I comprehended, too. So she did not know who was the person, who take photos of her and what would happen when she would call the police.

Her idea to find out, who was the person, with her classmate was very clever and brave.
Later she finds out that it was Tylor and takes "revenge" on him what he deserved.

In my view she has done everything right.

"THE THIRD REASON" - JESSICA DARES THE RUMORS

The third chapter of the novel "THIRTEEN REASONS WYH" is about Jesssica Davis.

Jessica is as well as Hannah a novice in this place.

Ms Antilly invite Hannah to a information session for new students and engage the two Teenagers in a conversation for the first time.

When they go to a Cáfe, the two Girls get to know a Boy, who observe them. It was Alex, who created the list. Jessica calls him that he should come to them.

From now on they become "friends" and meet each other in Monet´s Garden Cáfe & Coffeehouse, always when they had to talk about something.

But one day Hannah goes to the place, where they meet often, because Jessica said that they had to talk.

Her reason for the meeting was the list, which Jessica had seen for the first time. She was jealous that Alex wrote her on the "Who´s hot (not)"side and Hannah´s name is written in the "Hot"coloumn. 

That is the incident that finished their friendship.

Hannah was disappointed that Jessica believes more in the rumors, than in their friendship.

The novel is about a girl, who commited suicide. In thirteen cassettes she explains why she committed suicide and sends the cassettes to the people who carry the fault.

CASSETTE 1: SIDE B (Alex Standall)

"THE SECOND REASON" - FRESHMAN CLASS- WHO´S HOT/ WHO´S NOT



It all started with the fact that Hannah found a list which was pass around in class.
When she turned her head back she saw the headline of the list " FRESHMAN CLASS- WHO´S HOT/WHO´S NOT". She was elected for the best ass.
She knew that it was just only a joke from Alex but she was also sure that he needed just a name which he can put down opposite Jessica - for revenge.
And since everyone at school had a perverted image of her after Justin´s little number she was the perfect choice.
But his behavior was not decisive it was about the subsequent impact which made her angry because thenceforth she was reduced only on her appearance and was bothered by her classmates.

I can understand her anger and humiliation completely because she was used for the amusement of the class and presented in a bad light. 
Even though she found the list funny at first it had a negative impact for her which could be avoided.
